AZ-900 Certified!
Yay! I passed my first Microsoft Certification recently!
After some going back and forth on which cloud provider’s certifications to take first. I decided on Microsoft Azure since my most recent Nanodegrees and projects focused on Azure. Originally, I was focusing on AWS since I took two AWS based Naodegrees last year Cloud Developer
and Cloud DevOps Engineer
. I actually already studied for my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam during November 2020, but my computer failed.
So I spent a lot of time troubleshooting and eventually repaired the problem with my computer. Then I won a scholarship to take Developer for Microsoft Azure Nanodegree
. Along with taking the Hybrid Engineer Nanodegree
program at the same time. So I had to put the AWS exams on hold.
Fun fact:
I almost cancelled the AZ-900 exam
. I had just finished my last project for Hybrid Engineer Nanodegree and then I checked my calender and my AZ-900 exam was scheduled for an hour later. (I always check my calender and stay on top of it, but I was glued to my computer trying to meet other deadlines that day.) Then I remembered that I already had hands-on experience with Azure so I would be fine. So, I choose to take it without much study. I simply watched 20-30 minutes of the FreeCodeCamp’s Microsoft Azure Fundamental Certification course on YouTube. See below for the video. That was enough for me to score high and pass!!! So I highly recommend that course!
I plan to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam soon. I find myself still reviewing the material every now and then. I’m confident I will pass it soon!
Next on my list for Microsoft Certifications is to continue to study for the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Exam (AZ-104)
. So far so good! Once I pass the AZ-104 I’ll study and take the Microsoft Certified: DevOps Expert Exam (AZ-400)
.
