Studying for the AWS SysOps Administrator

I’m currently studying to take my AWS SysOps Administrator exam. I originally planned to take the recommended AWS Solutions Architect Associate, then the AWS Developer Associate, and then the AWS SysOps Administrator Associate. But I had already purchased my exam materials for the AWS SysOps (SOA-C01) version of the exam. So, I decided to just go ahead and take the SysOps exam first before the exam version updates July 27, 2021.

So it’s just a bit more difficult to skip the other two Associate level exams. Although, I have experience with AWS I’m not familiar with how the AWS associate level exams are worded. I’m sure when I take my practice tests I’ll do just fine and pass!

So far I believe I will just need to brush up on my AWS Networking skills as related to AWS SysOps. All the other domains I have experience with.

Once I’m finished studying and pass the exam I’ll make another post to recommend which study resources were helpful to me.

What’s Next?

Next on my list for AWS Certifications is to study for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Exam, and then the AWS Certified DevOps Professional Exam.
