AZ-900 Certified!

Yay! I passed my first AWS Certification recently! I’m so glad I went back and decided to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Exam. As I mentioned in a previous post. I originally, was focusing on AWS since I took two AWS based Naodegrees last year (2020) Cloud Developer and Cloud DevOps Engineer. I actually already studied for my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam during November 2020, but my computer failed.

So I spent a lot of time troubleshooting and eventually repaired the problem with my computer. Then I won a scholarship to take Developer for Microsoft Azure Nanodegree. Along with taking the Hybrid Engineer Nanodegree program at the same time. So I had to put the AWS exams on hold. Similar to my Azure Fundamentals exam I did not need to study very long for this exam. Due in large part to my hand-on experience.

Fun fact:

It took almost 2 hours before my PearsonVue proctor would release my exam. The proctor could not read my diver’s license expiration year. So I did not have a good experience taking that exam at home. Now, I understand why many people recommend that you take the exams in person! On top of all that my “smart” thermostat turned down my air conditioning in the middle of all this. So, my room reached 84 during my exam!

Nonetheless, I got through all of those difficulties and scored high and passed!

What’s Next?

Next on my list for AWS Certifications is to study for the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Exam. So far so good! Once I pass the SysOps Exam I’ll study and take the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Exam, and then the AWS Certified DevOps Professional Exam.
